It all began in 1976 when I was practicing as a successful Homoeopathic Doctor in Purnea. I had been rendering my medical services to the wailing, moaning, destitute, poor and ailing people of Purnea, which is still considered as economically, socially and educationally backward region of Bihar.
Based on my learning and understanding of the locality and the people around, made my belief that the chain of issues in this area and society at large has direct or indirect connection with illiteracy and ignorance. Illiteracy is the mother of all issues as it gives birth to many other issues like poverty, unemployment, child labour, lead to many social evils like child and bonded labour, child marriages. All these made me understand that Illiteracy is indeed the greatest of the problems affecting mankind as they stand as obstacles in the development of an advanced, progressive and peaceful world.
This was the time when my mission got shifted from "Medicine to Millia". Without any second thought I made up my mind to break away the shackles of illiteracy at any cost, in order to bring in the desired progress and development in the entire area through education and awareness particularly among the deprived and less privileged.

I was immensely perturbed on account of illiteracy, poor education and inefficiency of the students and their inability to reach any of prestigious position anywhere. It was the high time and need of the hour to introduce such an education system that makes a student ready, capable and courageous to live and face the various challenges in their lives. As a matter of fact, it became the only motto of my life to impart effective and purposeful education of paramount standard to the children and youth of this area. It was my cherished wish to light the lamp of quality and meaningful education and I started my journey by translating my dreams into a concrete reality as my accountability and social responsibility.
I started Millia with the first institutions called "GOOD SHEPHERD ENGLISH SCHOOL" and "MILLIA SIR SYED PRIMARY TEACHERS TRAINING COLLEGE" in the year 1983 in the Line Bazar Area in a rented place. The school gradually grew to its maturity as "MILLIA CONVENT ENGLISH SCHOOL".
Another feather was added in 1985, when "Millia Fakhruddin Ali Ahmad B.Ed. Teachers Training College" was established. In the same year "Millia Kaniz Fatima Women's Training College" was also founded for the girls. The year 1986 was very important for Millia when "Purnea High School", "National Degree College", "Millia Captain Abdul Hamid Physical Training College" all these institutions came into existence.
By the time I strongly felt the need of initiating institutions for technical and vocational education and I started putting all my energy and efforts in this direction. It was the year 1989 when Millia Institute of Technology (M.I.T) was successfully established in Rambagh area of Purnea. It was the year 1986, when I put in all my efforts in establishing a Dental Medical College but because of some technical and procedural concerns we could not get the approval. However, I continued my journey of making meaningful and quality education accessible to the maximum. In this direction, in the year 2007 Millia Convent English School, Kasba (Affiliated to C.B.S.E., New Delhi up to Std. X-10 kms away from Purnea Town)and Millia Convent English School at Rikabganj, Bhagalpur was estabilished. In the year 2008 Millia Polytechnic, Rambagh, Purnea was started. We extended our education initiatives to another district and in 2010 Millia Kishanganj College of Engineering and Technology was founded in Bheriyadango area of Kishanganj. We started Millia Polytechnic at Kishanganj in the 2014. In the year 2015, Millia Convent English School, Banbhag, K. Nagar, Purnea was started and the affiliation for this school from C.B.S.E, New Delhi is in process and very soon we will get it affiliated.
By the grace of almighty and my faith, determination and hard work, at present we are busy in the process of building the infrastructure of our ?Dream Project? which to establish a Medical College namely"Millia Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Purnea". Very soon the affiliation formalities will be completed and we will have our Medical College and Hospital operational.
Very soon the institutions under Millia Educational Trust are going to be declared as Deemed University. For this the trust has already acquired 250 acres of land and the application and other formalities will be initiated very soon. I thank God and all my well-wishers and my team for all these achievements and all the future endeavours. I have a strong trust myself and God and I do feel that with a crystal clear vision and strong determination and hard work it is possible to achieve anything in this world.
